Topic Title: Yet another UK brand verification...

A boring question I know as it has been asked many times before but I'm confused and I need to get on the case with ridding myself of this depressive state of mind and constant anxiety so...
I bought the Boots one-a-day which I now know I have to take three-a-day to get the full benefits. So I'm going to finish the packet of those and, as they are too expensive, move on to...
Holland & Barrett Herb Tech brand (correct dosage of 300mg at 0.3% Hypericins) so will take three of those a day...
However, these come in capsule form and I've now read that this may not be ideal. Will someone verify that if I want to get the best results possible I should take a tablet rather than capsule?...
I'm going away for a week on Saturday and all I have at the moment to take with me are the capsules. I need to know if I should travel to find a shop that sells a tablet form like Quest before Saturday or if I will be ok with the capsule...
Can you tell how anxious I get about everything? Jesus...hope this works...

Hi tanker:
You have the correct information regarding dosages, and while (other than Quest) I haven't taken any of the brands you mention, I can offer the following 2 pieces of advice:
1.) The only issues that is worth worrying about with capsules as opposed to tablets are those of freshness, oxidation and drying out. The thinking is that the constant opening of the jar leads the capsules to slightly dry out and oxidise over time and because of this they may gradually lose some potency. Some people have found that keeping them in the fridge seems to prevent or at least keep this problem to a minimum, but obviously this could be inconvenient for travelling or taking tablets to work etc.
2.) There is no need to travel to but Quest tablets - the company themselves will send it to you with no charge for delivery. You can order SJW and the rest of their range here on their website.
Hope any of this helps!
David
