I tried 5htp for a couple of weeks and had dry mouth which wasn't too horrible but the constipation was ridiculous to live with. Anyone else experience this and what to do about it?

I really wanted to give 5htp a real effort,but had to stop taking it after a couple of weeks. For some reason my blood pressure went up 12-15 points taking the 5htp. It went right back down to normal after stopping it. I do take high blood pressure medicine, it controls it well, but not with the 5htp in the mix. Just me i guess, i've not seen anyone else mention a increase in blood pressure. I didn't have any of the side effects you mention.
