The St. Johns wort joy pill is the only one I have heard of.

Oh sorry, had never heard of that :) If you just mean has anyone tried SJW and does it work, well, lots of people here have and say that yes, it does. My personal jury is still out mind .. after almost six weeks I don't think I am seeing much benefit.
Were you thinking of taking it yourself?

Gah - i misread you, I thought you said does it work when in fact you said HOW does it work.
I think the answer to that one is, noone knows entirely, but it is believed to have a similar effect to SSRI anti-depressants (ie the Prozac family). Epyx will know more ...

No I meant how good does it work but if you haven't tried it then you probably don't know does the pills that you take keep you up and on the happier side of life?

I'm confused by what you are asking too. Virtually everyone in this forum has experience with SJW.
If you are asking "is SJW a magic joy pill that anyone can take" then the answer is no. It doesn't make normal people feel "happy and up". It is a herbal anti-depressant/anti-anxiety med. To call SJW a "joy pill" is about as demeaning and dangerous as marketing Xanax as a "chill pill"

I believe Deonshay125 is asking about a version of SJW called The Joy Pill. I've seen it sold on the iherb.com web site. I'm not sure how it works, as I've always used Kira. I don't think I've ever seen this brand mentioned on this site. You can scroll down through this page, and on Mr 11th there is a posting of which brands are the most effective according to a consumerlab.com study. Best wishes!

I am sorry about the confussion let me start from the beginning, I have been depressed for many years now and it seems my life is getting worst, so I started doing research on a few porducts that are over the counter and I ran across one called the SJW Joy Pill. I was wondering would that be a good choice, so I kept my research going and ran across this page, so I sent out a message to see if any one has tried it, to see how good does it work, is there many side effects and is it addictive. So when I ran across this page I noticed that there are many people that use SJW and as I was looking there are so many to choose from, so I want to limit my options by asking which one kept you happy and moving through out the day like a anti-depressant. I didn't want to buy and try to many and get sick.

I'm familiar with joypills.com, and if they actually get their SJW from where they claim to get it, then it is a good choice. I've never seen any actual tests on their product.

I have been using the Joy Pills brand for years with good results. Their web site is www.joypills.com , and the phone number is 888-JOYPILL (888-569-7455).
I have used Kira in the past as well; good results but more expensive. Kira is the U.S. import version of a German brand, Jarsin.
