Hi Donald:
I was considering some gel capsules once (stuck with tablets though), and I think that there aren't really that many differences between the two encapsulation methods....it is possible that due to the solution suspended in a capsule that the SJW may be absorbed into the system faster (no tablet to break down in the system)...this would however be negligable and I should imagine completely un-noticable from a physical perspective.
I have also read that the capsules are best stored in a fridge because they (unlike tablets) have a tendency to dry out after the jar is opened so many times (3 a day) and the contents exposed to the air (possible oxidation issues)....whether this makes them less effective hasn't been discovered yet, but I wouldn't risk it.
