I've been doing hours of reading.
Anyways quick summary is, hyperforin is the active ingredient that matters most in SJW and it would seem my thoughts that I was getting positive effects from SJW just not enough of it meant not enough hyperforin. This discovery was made in 1998. Products like Kira's LI-160 was introduced in 1994 and marketed in 1996 which means I've been taking an older extract which was standardized on hypericium and not hyperforin.
From what I have found extracts that are standardized to contain 5% hyperforin using the WS-5572 process are most effective.
Products I've seen named using this WS-5572 process are Nature's Way PERIKA, and another company making a product called MOVANA.
These are supposed to be the two best at the current time.
Anyone seen these in Toronto?

I've never seen that brand for sale here.. most places here just carry mediocre (imho) stuff like Jamieson.
However I managed to find a few closeout packages of Movana at $5.99 cdn or so each.. they expire Feb 2002 and I'm not thrilled about that but hey, cheap and worth a shot!
So we'll see how it goes tomorrow. I'm too tired today to give a fair assessment but I think I feel smoother.
