i've just started taking 5 htp, about 3 weeks now, feeling stressed and down. took effexor 2 years ago for 9 months that helped but a few side effects.
checked the web and there doesn't seem to be recommended dose. I'm taking 300mg per day is that too much?
Is more not better and quicker?
I think it's starting to work, but i'm going to give it another few weeks at this dose. If things don't improve i'll probably go back to effexor.

I have read to start with small doses, do a websearch and give you further clarity. Need to be careful with hi dosages, not worth it to over do.
