Hi: I just started reading up on Relora for anxiety and noticed your posting from June, and your comment about it bringing out the depression. It's definitely such a "curse" to be plagued by both afflictions, it's hard to find a balance, what makes the anxiety worse seems to improve the depression or viceversa. Are you still taking the Relora? Did you finally combine it with 5-HTP? I took SJW about 5 or 6 years ago–don't remember exactly why I stopped it. Then took 5-HTP in between my two children. It actually helped me cope quite well and helped me to get rid of the "baby fat" and more. After starting it again a few months ago, the effects have not been as good. I am combining it with SJW now, have used both for about 7 or 8 weeks. I might have been taking too little of both–it scares me a bit to combine them since some websites warn against it, while others say that they work well together. I just increased the SJW a few days ago, it seems a little better, but hard to tell. I am reluctant to keep on adding more and more "products" – I am also taking fish oil, B vitamins, lecithin, calcium/magnesium. I'll see how the higher dose of SJW works. Not sure yet if at that point I'll keep the 5-HTP or try without it for a while.
It would be interesting to know, though, whether the Relora was beneficial for you or others at the forum. Thanks!
