I have been taking Zoloft for about 3 years. My doctor recently up'd my Rx from 100mg to 200mg due to the fact I have been having more frequent panic attacks. I suffer from OCD and general anxiety/panic attacks. I heard about 5-HTp and decided to give it a try. Curious about a couple of things though. I purchased Solaray brand 100 mg 5-HTP plus St. John's Wort $20.00 for 30 caspsules, considering I am taking 2 capsule a day curious if anyone has any luck on a cheapier but still pharmecuetical brand? Also regarding weight loss would I be better off to purchase it without the St. John's Wort as I have heard this may cause weight gain. I was considering taking just 5-HTP and a fish oil capsule. Any information that could be provided would be appreciated.

Hi I would definately try 5htp with fish oil (Omega 3) I tried with St Johns Wort - Horrible. I find that St Johns Wort increases panic and anxiety in me. 5htp seems like natures valium. Good Luck
