Does anyone know if and where you can buy tryptophan from in the UK or mail order from the US. Also am I right in believing that Tryptophan is available over-the-counter in the US. Grateful for any information.

I read in this website: www.wholehealthmd.com/news/viewarticle/1,1513,2,00.html that Tryptophan is banned in the US because of contamination which affected people taking it in the 1980s. Do not know if it is banned elsewhere, but in this article there are questions surrounding its safety.

Tryptophan is legal to buy over the counter again,as of March or April this year.
