I was wondering is anyone knows why this should not be used if you have high blood pressure or borderline diabetes? I started researching this supplement recently and would really like to try it. How receptive are the MD's to this supplement. Any experience would be appreciated. Thanks Cookie

Check out a website called www.all-natural.com . It explains how St. John's wort should not be mixed with amino acid supplements, as they are bad for high blood pressure. As far as I know, 5-HTP is an amino acid.

No, not exactly. It's a derivative of an amino acid, L-tryptophan. And that's the first I've heard of not mixing SJW with aminos. I would want to read more than once to decide that.
