There are times where I just want to "give up" when it comes to alternative treatments. I've read some older posts that claim 5htp & B6 can cause heart valve damage !! AAAGHHH..... For insomnia I began taking 100 mg of Natures Brand 5htp that has B6 & C added to it .....I also take a Multi Vitamin that has high doses of B complex vitamins in it.......I know B Vitamins are water soluable so I thought your body only used what it needed and the rest went bye bye in your urine.........so what's a guy to do ?? Try to eliminate all B6 in your diet ?? Is there any credible evidence about this heart valve damage & 5htp connection ????? I read a book by Dr. Murray about 5htp.....he feels it's a "miracle" drug and says we need B complex vitamins for it to work properly.....see why I'm confused and frustrated !! Any info is greatly appreciated.
