Hi. I am new to the boards and this is my first post. I've read lot's here and very much appreciate all who contribute to this very informative site.
I just purchased Natrol 5-HTP 50mg capsules and would love to hear others experiences, good or bad, with this brand. Also the doses that have worked well for you and the time of day you take them. I just stopped Remeron a week ago so I'm also wondering if it's safe for me to start the 5-HTP yet. I also take Omega 3 fish oil supplements and find them helpful.

edited to ask one more question...I am sensitive to medications and have heard of people opening the capsules and putting some of the 5-HTP in some water for a lesser dose, is it okay to do that? I would prefer to start low and taper up as needed. Thanks again!
