Hi
I am coming to terms with the fact that my use of ecstasy a few years ago could be causing some unpleasent sideeffects. I have been suffering from headaches, inability to concentrate or cope with stress and being very short tempered and the symptoms appear to be getting worse (though this has been compounded by having a bit of a stressful time recently).

The best way I can describe it is that the pain is like when you close your eyes and try and roll your eyes back in your head as far as they will go.
I have always had mood swings and panic attacks but since my period of ecstasy use this has changed so that now I am just constantly stressed and never enjoy anything.
I would really appreciate any feedback on this and whetehr anyone has had similar symptoms and if so, whether 5HTP helps at all and what the side effects are. Does 5HTP act only to suppress symptoms or can it help the brain to recover over time?
I am reluctant to go down the chemical route but its got to the point now where I can't carry on with these headaches anymore and I am willing to try something as long as I know the risks and the benefits.

Hey there- I came across a website that talks about the effects of drugs like X on the brain and how to recover. It DID recommend 5 htp. Dr. Lin can also answer your question personally if you email him. Check this website out -it should help you out alot. www.actionlove.com

On the left side is a columm thatand if you look down it eventually it will say "drugs /something.." Alot of the people on here also overmasturbated..but there are some that took Xtasy..cause I read a few stories..and he givesthem advice..you just gotta look on the site...everywhere.. By the way, there is a part where it says "ASK DR LIN" at the top. You should email him about your exact problem...he will give you personal advice for your exact problem..hes great.

For the record I've pasted it in at the bottom but its all sex oriented.
At present my main problem is headaches and not being able to think. It's like there's a big chunk missing in the front of my brain when I try to concentrate on anything and it just hurts. I used to have real problems with mood swings and depression and stuff but now I just have a headache. I wish I was how I used to be (yes I know the grass is always greener) but at least then I felt like me even if I was a bit unstable. Nowadays I just feel dead inside.
I'm going to try the 5htp thing just to try and give my headaches a bit of relief though I don't think its going to be a long term solution.
