I started taking 5-HTP three weeks ago. Because I am notoriously sensitive to medicines, I took it for only three consecutive days each week. Now I notice that on the days that I don't take it I am very short-tempered, irritable and "angry". I lash out for almost no reason and have no frustration level. I am wondering if I am experiencing a sort of "withdrawal" from it. Does anyone hve any idea what might be happening?

Yea, I agree with Jimmy....Be consistent for a few weeks without changing anything. I don't think its possible to become a 5htp addict. Especially in just a couple of days. And if your crabby when your not on it, then you probably need it!
