I used to take 2 x Holland & Barrett’s 50mg 5-HTP capsules per day but stopped about half a year ago:

I'm now feeling a bit low and crappy again and I'm thinking of taking it again. I was just wondering if this brand has been working for other people or if I should maybe try another. I’m also thinking of upping the amount I take from 2 x 50mg to maybe 3 x or 4 x per day.

I’m 23 and recently I’ve just been feeling quite low, getting very irritated with my girlfriend and I don’t want to mess things up with her. I’m also finding if hard to go out side again and fell like I’m getting high anxiety again. I tried going shopping yesterday by myself and just freaked out and came back to work with nothing.

The thing is, I can’t remember what I used to feel like when I was taking it before. I’m not too sure if it took this long to clear it out of my system and that is why I’m now feeling like this.

How long does it take for a noticable change after taking 5-HTP and how long does it take for all the effects to stop after no longer taking 5-HTP?

If anyone could give me some help or tips. Hoping for a UK resident to point me in the right direction.
