Topic Title: Questions about tryptophan
| | "Questions about tryptophan" , Fri 21 Nov 09:29
I am interested in trying tryptophan, if I can get someone to write a prescription for it. Would like to know if any of the people on this board who have tried it experienced any side effects. I, like most of you, have tried just about everything for anxiety, depression, etc. Would love to give it a chance. Any responses are greatly appreciated.

Hello rayeson,
I just read your post, and I am very disappointed in the fact that not even one single person, replied to your question! That's pretty messed up! If I'd have seen it earlier, I'd have replied long ago, as I have some good information for you. I hope that you still post and research on this site, because I know you'll be interested in hearing what I have to say!
Your interest in L-Tryptophan is odd to me, because for one, it's only by prescription, as you mention, and two, 5-HTP is available as a dietary supplement, and it is supposedly 5 times more powerful than pure L-Tryptophan! Why struggle to get a prescription, when you can order a "Tryptophan on Steroids" online, just about anywhere? I was on a Pharmaceutical Antidepressant recently, and used 5-HTP to get off it, very easily too! I was dissatisfied with the results of Effexor, when weighed with the side-effects. I am taking 200mg. of 5-HTP daily now, and feeling very good! Much better than I did on Effexor, I'll tell you that!
I have many products in mind for you, that very likely will help you out. I am curious as to what agents you've used thus far, to address your problems.
Send me an E-Mail, if you don't mind, to "[email protected]", when you read my reply. Explain what you've tried, including any Pharmaceuticals, and a brief explanation of your symptoms and concerns. I'll reply with some advice for you, and some recommended "Natural" strategies for you to consider.
I'll look for your message, and take care!
