Could any one tell me if i can take 5HTP straight after stopping the drug efexor, or is there any waiting period required.

I just came off of Effexor too and want to start 5htp.The Effexor withdrawal was hell and has left me in a state of depression and anxiety.Keep me posted and let me know how the 5htp is working for you.

I just stopped taking Lexapro last Saturday and started taking 5HTP. I had some of the witdraw from Lexapro such as agitation and dizziness. Its been over a week and all the withdraw has gone away but everyone is different. I waited only 1 day before taking 5HTP. So far it has been great. I take 100mg in the morning and 200mg at night and feel great! I take the Nature's Way brand with B6 and C Complex. I will never take a pharmaceutical anti depressant again.
