I've recently begun taking larger, more regular does of 5-htp. About 300 mg per day. And it feels really good. I stopped sjw, which wasn't having much of an effect that I could tell, and the htp has been pretty good. I almost want to say Great, but I don't want to jinx it. I've been taking Nature's Way, which has vitamins B6 and C.

Now here's the thing--I also take a pretty strong multivitamin and a B-complex. Well, I was looking up information on the B vitamins on the encyclopedia at iHerb's web site, and they say that there is a danger in exceeding the upper safety limit of about 100 mg. per day of B6. The other Bs are okay, they say. Pop away. But the B6 you should be careful about. Well, I figure with the 5-htp, the multivitamin AND the b-complex, I'm over 100 mg.

So I'm thinking of switching to a 5-htp without B6. It's either that or cut out some of the vitamins, and I do want to try a new B-complex (Source Naturals coenzyme type. Looks pretty interesting).

Anyone have any information they can share with me about any of this? Another 5-htp brand? The validity of the upper safety limits on B6? Anything? Thanks in advance.
