Can I take 5-HTP with effexor to fill in the places where effexor doesn't seem to work? How much?

taking a ssri with 5htp is suppossed to be a huge huge no no..you could easily get overloaded from serition from what i have heard and seen online but i am not a doc..
i would take the 5htp into your doc and ask them..would be your best bet, cuz i think there are ppl under a doc's care that do do both a ssri and 5htp but there is no way in hell i would try it without a doc knowing about it cuz i would hate to see anyone get really sick
and i know the 5htp bottles say do not take this with a ssri ect ect..
which i aint the most pay attention to labels kinda person.lol i am really kinda rebellious and stubborn..lol
but i think this is kinda a huge no no so you better check with a doc:)

Thanks for your response. I heard and read the same thing but I thought maybe it was all an exxageration. I've found all my docs know nothing about naturapathic treatments so I don't even bother asking. You're right , though, I better not try it.
