i was wondering if anyone has any info on whether 5 HTP is subject to withdrawal effects. i am very sensitive to withdrawal effects. i quit two SSRIs within the last 4 months, has given me a very hard time.

when you say withdrawl maybe you mean depression, being quiet, being slient, introvered?
well if that' what you mean then i'm with you. i went through that ... on too much ssri and sjw ... when i didn't realize that along with serotonin we also need protein to keep our energy level up. some people turn to coffee but that uses up (nor)ephenprine. you need energy and need to take in protein. for me even one egg just sends me manic so i have to really really slowly take in protein.

what i meant was physical withdrawal effects. like headache, ringing in the ear etc.
i have this ringing in the ear for about 4 months. just not giving me a break. and headaches i suffered a lot.
i'll keep the protein tip in mind.
