Can anyone tell me if there are benefits in using 5-HTP to reduce the hangover effect from ecstasy use?

I had never learnt about 5-HTP, and the reason I found out was because someone I worked with used to tell me it was really, really got for your comedowns. SO........ I did a little research and found most people have never heard of it ie: Chemists and health food shops etc. So you can purchase it over the net though. I hear NZ is the cheapest and quickest way. I want to try %-HTP for other reasona but I usually find the best come down for me after taking certain things is SLEEP- the world goes away while it's detoxing from your system. But if your awake, POT- takes the low away (for me). But I have givin away those sorts of drugs now.
Good Luck and keep me posted.

Megan, my own view is that you should stop taking the ectasy if the comedown is so bad. I used to take E a lot years and years ago (10 years approx) - too much as it turned out. I ended up on anti-depressants and I would say I probably still haven't fully recovered from the damage it did. If u experience a big unnatural up from ectasy it's illogical to expect to be able circumvent a similar low afterwards. You may be able to diminish the low using 5-htp, but it would be madness to assume that your ectasy-taking isn't doing any damage. I rarely regret things in life, but taking ectasy was my biggest mistake and I hate seeing other people doing the same. Your life of course....

I COULD NOT AGREE MORE. I would do anything to get back my neurotransmitter functions as they were pre-ectasy. It has been at least two years and I am starting to think my brain will never work right again.
