I took paxil for many years and finally weaned off this past summer due to some of the side effects. As my depression has increased recently I decided to take SJW and have been taking 3 300mg tablets per day for about three weeks. The SJW I have been taking is "Perika Pro" and made by MMS Pro
Starting last week I added 5-HTP- two 50mg tablets a day.
I ran out of the Perika Pro (300mg, hyperforin rich extract) and bought another brand of SJW called SOLGAR which has 300 mg also but in addition has another 100mg of "raw SJW powder".
This morning I took the Solgar tablets (as I had been taking two of the Perika Pro) and my 50 mg tablet of 5-HTP and within two hours I was feeling extremely spacey and anxious- almost feeling like a panic attack was on board. Anyway, I am better this evening but the day was pretty miserable. I don't want to give up on this. Maybe it was just the change in brands or the buildup of the HTP. Anyone else had an experience like this? Any advice?
Anyone have any ideas about what happened?

Hi, it could well be the change of brand. I've had a similar experience with a cheap brand and had serious side-effects. I was goign to quit SJW at all but decided to give it another shot with another brand. This one has very little additives and woohoo!...no side-effects!
So I suggest to change back to yoru old brand n see what it does, so you know if its the HTP-5 or the change of brand.
