I have been taking 5-HTP during my withdral from Paxil (originally 20 mgs. for 6 years and now 3.5 mgs!). It is a great natural supplement and has been helping me a lot.
Question, I feel extremely spaced-out and super-cloudy (although very relaxed) after I take 100 mgs. at lunch? If eel as though I am either taking too much or at a bad time during the day.
Are there those out here who worked effectively through this issue - when to take it and how much to avoid a spaced-out feeling?

My doctor recommended that I take it in 2 seperate doses to keep from being tired (although I haven't had any tiredness from 5-htp). You should try 50mg in the early afternoon and 50mg in the late afternoon (i.e. 10am and 3pm) both on an empty stomach a couple of hours after eating. See if that helps.
