Has anyone tried "SAM-e" with success in treating depression and anxiety, that St. John's wort or HTP5 alone, did not work well for you.?

Thanks.

Pauline

I have been on sam-e for one year and with great success. I feel better than I ever felt, more confident, less anxious, much less depressed. I highly recommend sam-e.

I've been on a combo of 5-HTP and SAM-e for 4 months now with success, treating my menopausal anxiety and depression.
I'm taking 200mg. of SAM-e once a day and a moderate dose of 5-HTP. But, now I'm feeling more anxiety and depression. Has this ever happened to you? What dose (strengh) are you on? I think, I read someone's mail on here that the same thing happened. Think, my body just, after 4 months, now needs more?

I have tried SAMe a couple of years ago and it helped me through a rough time. I found it very effective. I hope you do as well. I didn't have any side effects. I also was able to get through the tough time and avoid taking the perscribed Prozak the Dr. wanted me to take. I am in a down time again with a very bad situation to deal with and being from Canada SAMe is no longer allowed in the country for sale so I was recomended 5 HTP. Does anyone know how it compares to SAMe?

Since there is no sale of SAM-e in Canada, can't you oder it by postal mail or through the internet? Who would know?
