Yes. Have tried this product and do no not know how I would ever live without it now. It not only balanced my mood (no more crying fits) but I also lost 45 pounds over a 1 year period. That was 5 years ago and the weight is still off. No dieting. The combination of 5-htp and St. John's Wort seems to be the key and this product is the best combo I've found. I have recommended this product to countless family members and friends.

Do you take the recommended "2" capsules a day of this product?

Thanks,

Hello. In looking over old posts, I came across, that you wuse the product "HTP.Calm" too.
Are you still on it with success?
If so, may I ask how many of the capsules you take a day and at what times.?
Thanks, Pauline

You probably have already answered your question by now. I just found this site, am new, and read your question. In researching the web, books, etc. about healthier/better alternatives to prescription antidepressants, I've come to the conclusion that at this time, there is very little consistent information available, however, there are some basics to keep in mind when reading through ingredients, amounts, etc. on the labels of any given "natural" formula. The HTP.Calm product is somewhat a dichotomy, meaning, it appears that they have included Kava Kava to support relief from anxiety and promote better sleep. Note that some HTP users experience difficulties in these two areas. Then they have added Gotu Kola to add some pep. Again note that some HTP users experience sleepiness. SWJ is added with HTP for the seratonin levels. B6 is there too. From all the info I've read through so far, I lean toward no more than 5mg B6 per HTP dose. HTP.Calm exeeds that guideline. There is a reason biochemically that sounds quite reasonable, but I probably should not expound on that here. 1 capsule gives you 10mg B6 + 150mg SJW + 25mg HTP + 250mg mixed Kava Kava, Gotu Kola, Passion Flower. My gut says there are too many counteracting agents here and that the end result may very well be one of body confusion. Kind of the same principle as taking uppers to speed up and downers to bring down at the same time. Then again, HTP.Calm may be balanced to achieve a predictable outcome. If you take it and the result is one of improvement, then great. But if you do not achieve your desired result, then I would think about what you want to achieve - what areas (depression, anxiety, etc.) do you want help with. Then look over the list of natural ingredients that address those specific areas and see if they fit. The good news is that there is help out there. There's going to be some trial and error, but at least it's so much better than the pharmaceutical way of treatment. I'd like to know what your experience has been with HTP.Calm. It's an interesting formula. I'd probably try it if the B6 was half the amount in it. Let me know how you're doing.
