"Hello, I Finished year 12.Been ill for 2 yrs" , Wed 9 Jan 18:46

Well since end of year 10. I started feeling really Dizzy. I thought i didnt have enough sleep. Then it got to the point I was scared if i was going to faint/passout. I got scared and thought If I was dieng or very ill. I went to the docter and he said Glandular Fever and gave ma a blood test. It came clear. I started to PANIC thinking it was an Underlying Disease that they cant find and i might die if they dont find it. Well Why am I feeling so ill. I cant read properly as i look through words and i cant concentrate and feel Dizzy. This went on for a few monthes and i was Sweating and thought i was dieing. Then a Docter Prescribed AROPAX (Antdepressant). AS i got on them i felt more sick. But after a month i started feeling better. But i also not fully well. I still feel funny since im on Medication. Now after year 12 i am getting off them and when i started slowing to half and stopped. I felt VERY ILL. I was gonna Faint and throw up. So i went back on them. Now i went off them for a week and i am little better but feel light headed and worry as i feel dizzy.

Does Antideppressants cause long term effects or problems if you stay on them for ages or life. Cause i plan on staying on AROPAX.

I want to go on them again but mum says it can cause damage. its not healthy. I am very Anti Social as i get shy and nervous. I am scared if i have Depression back. Or is it the tablets and getting off them?

Thank you anyway. Anyhelp would be appreciatted.

hey there. your post gives me some sort of relief as i also have experienced not reading properly as i look through the words in a book, as well as having a hard time concentrating. I also experienced aversion to what my doctors prescribed to me.first, there was luxopram. then, i switched to another doctor which prescribed to me the more popular prozac. both made me sleepy and at times made by behavior as what i called it "erratic".. it wasn't me at all so i stopped. ALSO, I called relate being anti-social.. and being shy and nervous.. EVEN THOUGH i felt a dire need to express myself to my family and friends. ANYWAYS, TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.. yes, you are experiencing withdrawal symptoms..and you may need to taper off your meds.. Im not sure on the exact science of it all.. but the general idea is to wean yourself off the meds.. like you could be taking the med once a day, so you take every other day instead.. and add additional days in between as time goes by..

In no particular relation to your post, i also would suggest that you look into your adrenals..(dhea and cortisol levels). I have just confirmed that I have an adrenal disorder. After only a day of supplementation of herbs and vitamins(licorice, hawthorne berry, sarsaparilla, b-5, c) that help rebuild and support the adrenals.. I feel SUPER.. as if i got more energy, and seemed to act more instead of reacting to things, depression wore off, and anxiety lessened quite significantly. I only wish i had known about this sooner.. but I feel that I am also lucky that I had come upon this. Anyways, good luck and have a good one!
