I'm hoping someone can help me...

I'm contemplating taking 5-HTP to treat mild depression and anxiety symptoms, but am concerned about its potential interactions with alcohol. I'm not a heavy drinker, I'll usually kick back with a few on the weekend and have a glass of wine once or twice during the week--is this OK? Will drinking alcohol really affect the drug, and if so, is it serious? I normally don't drive when I go out so if it's simply due to drowsiness that's OK. Any personal experiences wiht this would be helpful.

5-htp makes me more sensitive to alcohol.
i get drunker. and more hangover.
i try to avoid alcohol when on 5-htp,
but it may not affect you in the same way.
just try it out.
