In my opinion after one year the wound maybe still fresh. If it still hurts, you may want to give yourself a special time to revisit the "trigger event" let yourself have a good cry and then pull yourself together and get out and be with people that love and care about you. Keep busy, and don't be alone.
Don't deny what happened, you have to work through the feelings, 5htp and therapy can help.
Only now after 7 years can I visit my daughters grave without crying.
