After feeling tired and irritable all week, I decided to stop taking the 5-HTP to supplement my SJW with Kava. I'm going back to the SJW, and I'm taking Gensing for energy along with a good multivitamin. and since I stopped yesterday, I feel a bit better today. and hope to continue feeling better throughout the week. I guess I should stop self medicating and maybe talk to someone.

Hi!
I think we are in a really similar situation. I also stopped 5-HTP because of how it was making me feel. . .had a bad couple days with it. I noticed a difference as soon as I stopped. Right now I am also taking SJW with Kava Kava (both in the same pill) as well as Ginseng and a multi-vitamin. It has only been a week, 3 days of which were on 5-HTP also, but I am starting to notice a difference. Hope stopping 5-HTP helps you too. . .let me know how it goes!

I stopped last Saturday, and haven't felt so bad. In fact I've felt better this week than last week, and I have to say that 5-HTP is not for me.
