How long does it take for 5-htp to work?
i had been taking it for a week (dosage of 250) and nothing happened.

5htp worked for me immediately. I take 200-250 mg 2x/day, in the morning and late afternoon. Maybe you should increase your dosage, or use a combination of SJW and 5htp.

Dupont , thanks a lot for your advise, i think i feel better, but i am not sure.
I am taking now 450 5 htp +900 sjw, maybe it is too much!
my problem is that I am depressive and I have an eating disorder , my mood is better but not my eating habits.

I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. Please get professional help for the eating disorder, therapy can really help if you have the right person to talk to. There are many therapists, and you just have to keep trying until you find the right one. I've also read that some of the prescription antidepressants work well for eating disorders, have you talked to your Dr. about it?
