What is SJW info? This place is about St. John's Wort for depression. It was started by Kelly in 1997 and has been running continuously since then with the help and generosity of many kind people from around the world. This site has no advertising and there is nothing for sale here. For a long time it was ranked #1 or #2 for a Google search on the subject but those days are also long gone. The website looks ancient because it is. St. John's Wort works for millions of people but that doesn't mean it works for everyone. It's inexpensive and available over the counter in most countries and that's good enough for me. St. John's Wort (SJW) is as effective as prescription meds but with fewer side effects. Read the studies if you need proof. There's far more information about it now than was I first tried in in 1997. The lack of info at the time was why I created this site. IntroductionI started this website in 1997, back when there was little information about St. John's Wort (SJW). I'd come off Paxil suddenly due to its side effects and almost hit rock bottom. I read an article in a natural heath magazine about SJW. Out of desperation, I just started taking it back then without knowing much about it. I was my own guinea pig, which was not a good idea. But I was very lucky to have found a real (and safe) treatment for depression. So I started these pages to tell the world! Fast-forward to today. A number of major scientific studies now prove that St. John's Wort (SJW) is just as effective as many prescription anti-depressants, but it can be bought over-the-counter without a prescription. And it's a natural herb. I can't tell you how many people have written to me, saying St. John's Wort saved their life. I am very humbled by this thought and I know my site has played some small part in helping people out there. I have collected literally thousands of other people's experiences on this website since 1997. Personally, I wouldn't claim to fully understand depression, but I'm a lot wiser about it now. St. John's Wort changed my life at a time when I needed it most, and maybe with a little luck it can work for you too. DISCLAIMER: I am not a doctor. I can't give medical advice and if you're taking other medications today you should probably talk to your doctor. However I do know a little something about St. John's Wort now and have taken it longer than most people. It's available over-the-counter at pharmacies and chemists in most countries around the world without a prescription. And it's a powerful antidepressant. Do some researchI believe you should do as much research as possible. Depression is a debilitating disease. Read as much as you can and learn from others. Then share your experiences, and help someone just as you found help. We all experience depression differently, but in this online community we all have something in common. Our collective experiences and shared support can make a world of a difference. The only thing I ask is that you please read through the information here before posting questions in the forum. Don't click around too much, sit back and just start reading. So let's get started. Go to the next page (general information) |
