For the record I am a 44 year old woman from England. I have been on SJW for 4 months and find it really helps me, however last week I fell into a pit of bleak thoughts and feelings, the like of which I haven't had for ages, and that was very scary. This week I managed to turn it around when it felt like I was slipping again, and I guess SJW might make it a bit easier to take control and act on what's bugging me. Anyway the worry I have at the moment is that it seems to be affecting my cycle - I had a normal period then another one 4 days later. This is a drag because I really don't want to stop taking SJW and was thinking of upping the dose. I've heard it can interfere with the birth control pill so guess it's possible the cycle can be affected like this. Anyone out there heard of similar stuff? Love and thanks, Syd xx

I started SJW two weeks ago and have noticed an immediate and beneficial difference, I'm very pleased with it so far. But - I started with breakthrough bleeding about a week ago (I take the pill) and it just keeps continuing. I'm not sure what to do - I'm not worried about pregnancy as I only take the pill for the estrogen on my doctors advice. I feel I need SJW because I was anxious and feeling down in the dumps all the time. Would reducing the dose help ???? Thanks Linda

I take the pill only to regulate periods. I will let you know how it progresses if anything changes.

I recently read some info regarding menopause and that was one of the signs. Check with your ob-gyn.
