After taking it for just one month it interacted with my oral contraceptive and I ended up pregnant. To top that, I didnt know till I was 5 months gone!Unfortunately, it might be rare, but it can happen.I now have an alternative contraceptive and so far, so good.

What brand of SJW were you using, out of curiosity? I've been on SJW for 2 weeks now. I'm on the pill, but so far I'm not pregnant. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I am on the bcp too, and am only taking 1 pill of SJW/day in hopes that it will cut down the likelyhood of any unwanted pregnancies occurring. it's been a mth now, and so far so good. but I have been on the pill for 12 yrs now, and my Dr. thinks that if anything I will have difficulty trying to get pregnant, rather than anything interacting w/ it to counteract the bcp. thanks for your input though, cuz I have heard that it can be a common 'side effect'.
