I've been taking 5-Htp for a few days now. I've been informed by my dentist that I need my wisdom teeth extracted. I am going to be going to sleep for this procedure. I'm worried the 5-Htp will interact with the meds they're gonna give me to put me to sleep. I haven't told my dentist I take 5-Htp mainly because I know he'll be clueless to what it exactly is and tell me to stop taking it. I'm afraid if I have to stop taking it the day before the extractions, that I will have to start all over again to achieve the full effects of the 5-Htp.
