I have enjoyed reading all about SJW. I have been on 20mg (1 tab) of Aropax a day for the past three years. This was prescribed due to the onset of Panick Attacks. I have to admit that I noticed the difference within mere days! Since then Apropax has been my saviour. I have experienced some serious bouts of trauma over the past 18 months which included huge life changing decisions etc. As such, I again suffered more serious bouts of Panick attacks. My doc put me onto two Aropax per day now (40mg). I have to admit that I sleep very soundly, and am not aware of suffering ANY side effects from Aropax over the past three years, however, recently I have noticed I am stacking on the weight, have insatiable cravings for "sweet" things - like chocolate royal biscuits etc, and lack of libido. Now, obviously taking two a day have brought about these changes. I am seriously thinking of weaning off the Aropax and trying the SJW. Has anyone else made this transition? How did you go? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Yes I bloated up big time too, had absolutely no sex drive (didnt matter cos I didnt have a boyfriend, actually I still dont !). However it did get me through a horrific time with panic attacks and anxiety and depression. July 2000 came off the Aropax, and lately, I have been going downhill again with some personal traumas. I am thinking about going on SJW, as I don't want to get back on the prescription drug roundabout. I have been prescrived Dong Quai for the pms symptoms. Today I couldn't face work and sat at home and cried all night and all day and I am a wreck, my Mum was been fantastic, thank God what would I do without her (I am 38 and living back at home) however my Dad is very sick and I feel I could be in for something very traumatic if his condition deteriorates. Hang in there, I'm in Sydney, try out the SJW and see how you go, I discovered this site tonight and I am finding it comforting to know that there are "more of us" out there than I realised and I dont feel like such a freak. You may also want to visit this fantastic site, www.paems.com.au , its wonderful, I wish it had been around and I had been on line at the height of first bout with these demons. Best of luck.

I took that about 2 years ago for a duration of 1 and 1/2 years. I was diagnosed with having panic attacks and anxiety. At that time, I was going through some serious personal issues. Anyhow I took paxil and although I was able to focus, I was a mess. I was hyper, nervous and of course not myself. I had to get off. My life has been a mess since last year. I just started to take SJW past week or so and do notice a calmness about me. I feel sedated a bit during the day but I am open to being social and not angry at the world.

Plenty of people have used SJW instead of Paxil.
