I realized after 47 years that I have always had a low level of depression & anxiety. It was my "normal" so it took me awhile to realize other people didn't feel that way. Overall I've functioned fine - with family, friends, at work. But I was tired of being down, worrying and over thinking everything. When I started being the sole caregiver to my father, and at times my mother, well, I felt completely overwhelmed.
Long story short...went on Lexapro. Great for about 2 weeks then the side effects: spacey feeling, extreme tightness in the back of my neck, feeling emotionally detached were too much. I went on WebMD, a site that I trust, and stumbled on an article with favorable SJW research. That day I went and got Nature's Plus Herbal Actives 300mg. Within 2 days I felt like a new person. Upbeat, hopeful and best of all, not worrying constantly about everything.
Still going great, although I am experiencing a slight bit of dizziness and a little bit of irritability in the last several days. I'm going to do what I've seen recommended on this message board and cut my dosage back to 2 tablets a day instead of 3. I feel like that is what is needed.
If you're thinking about SJW - I highly recommend it. I thought it was a bunch of supplement nonsense for many years until WebMD convinced me to think again. I'm very glad I did. :rosiecheeks:
