Finally after waiting a month my KIRA has arrived, I live in Canada and had to order from the US. I can't wait to start this, gonna try it on a night when I don't have to work the next day though. I hope this stuff lifts the mood alittle so I get see this world with a lighter shade of rosey glasses. I tired Jamieson brand SJW and that worked somewhat ok at 1st, so I'm hoping this high end brand kicks it. I'll keep everyone posted on my progress as the weeks go by. I have been following this forum for over a year now.

WEEK 1
I'm upto 2 pills a day (600mg) now on KIRA, so far I haven't noticed anything worth getting excited about yet, but, I'll sure continue considering I haven't had any side effects either. Gonna start my 3rd dose this week-end and just keep goin and see what happens.

When you get to three pills a day you'll be at the recommended dose. It can take 4-6 weeks to see effects. Seems as though we all respond differently. Based on what I read before I began I had ordered an eight week supply @ the three a day dose to be certain that I gave SJW every opportunity to help.
Hope you begin to see improvement soon. Please keep us posted!

WEEK 2
I'm at my 3 a day dose now. I haven't really noticed any change, I had minor isomnia for 3 out of the past 7 nights which is unusal for me, I normally sleep very well. So glad I don't have any side effects. Let's hope week 3 which will be a full week at 3 a day will start to get better.

WEEK 3
No real change this week, if this stuff is doing anything it must be very subtle right now, starting to get alittle discouraged. No other side effects other then slight headaches after taking my 1st morning dose. On to week 4 now.

king_grand,
3 weeks on, two @ 3/day. Great start.
We all seem to react a bit differently to SJW. Some have a quick response and others no response at all. Most of us fall in between. Any changes you experience may be subtle. Things you might want to look for:
Have you developed an interest in doing something that you used to enjoy, but stopped?
Are you calmer?
Are you happier?
Do you have hope?
Do you look forward to the next day?
Are the things that weigh you down lighter than they used to be?
Have you rediscovered your sense of humor?
Do you smile more?
The list could go on & on. If you have a partner, ask if they have noticed any changes. You just might be surprised.
I remember when I first started that at first the changes were small. I recall one of the first was a renewed interest in riding my bicycles...something I used to love but had not done for over a year. I remember watching television and smiling at a joke, something I hadn't done for a very long time. Small changes. Subtle changes. I remember my wife noticed that I was more optimistic and I was less down than I had been.
Hang in there! Please keep us posted. Wishing you the healing you are looking for.

Yes.....the subtle changes are hard to notice at first. Thanks for the "things to look for" questions. I laughed at a TV commercial the other day and it actually surprised me. :) I also noticed that I can let things (like anger & stress) go much more quickly. It used to take me days to get over something only a little stressful.l I'm looking forward to more smiles.

Michele,
Glad to hear that you're making progress and beginning to experience healing. You're right at the brink of a significant change for the better:dance: More smiles ahead!
You might want to do a seach for "rash". Haven't experienced that, but seems to me that it goes away with time.
Welcome to the forum! Please let us know how you're doing.

I wonder if the morning headaches are caused from drinking my daily morning coffee right after I take my 1st dose, I don't get the headache with the other 2 doses, just the morning, maybe the caffine is not mixing well with the Wort. I also don't recall getting the headache when I was taking 2 a day, I don't want to drop back down to that though, I hope these headaches go away with time, I'm gonna stop drinking coffee and see if that helps, otherwise, any suggestions??? thx

WEEK 3 @ 3 a day
Well, the headaches seem to be caused by coffee and chocolate, so I've given them up and since haven't had a headache. This stuff might be working alittle bit now, just slightly. still too early to tell though I think.

Wow! No coffee or chocolate?! You're brave. Good for you! :)
Have you tried taking all three pills at night before bed? I do that and I haven't experienced many side effects. Just a thought.
Have you been feeling any better since your last post? For me the changes have been so subtle......but obviously there. The biggest one is that I can let stress go much quicker than before. I'm enjoying that the most. Do you exercise? That helps me tremendously as well. I call working out "my attitude adjustment" because it does just that. :)
Was Kira the first brand of SJW that you tried? I have a different brand but am planning to try Kira as soon as I can get to a shop that carries it. Good luck feeling better. I'd love to hear how you're doing.

Hi King-Grand,
I too experienced headaches while adjusting to 3 X Kira SJW. It lasted a few weeks, then subsided. The effects of the SJW happened very gradually and subtlely, but they happened! I look back now and really can't believe how bad I felt.
All I can say is stick with it. Ride out the headaches etc, and don't reduce the dose unless you really have to. I had the same insomnia as you, but only briefly. I have a bit of early morning waking now, but its not too bothersome.
Good luck and I wish you all the positive affects that I have experienced on KIra!
