Hi There

I have suffered from Depression on and off since I was 19 - I am now 34, and last year came off Aropax after 10 years of taking it - February I had a relapse of Depression and after about a month of trying to come out of this black hole - I went to see my MD who decided to put me back on Aropax - needless to say in 2 days those dreaded side effects started and I felt like I was bouncing off the walls. I then decided to make an appointment with my Psychiatrist, who was the one who helped me taper off the Aropax - he then put me onto Remeron - after about a week I started feeling better - but. . . . I felt so sluggish that I could hardly perform at work, I just did not feel like doing anything in fact. I stopped taking these as well - and have been feeling fine for about 3 weeks, but am slowly feeling my emotions slipping - I really do not want to go back onto medication that has such severe side effects - as such I researched SJW, and came accross your site - thank you so much - I have bought myself a bottle - has anyone heard of MindSoothe? http://www.nativeremedies.com/mindsoothe_for_depression.shtml
It's a combination of SJW and Passiflora whic is apparantly good for anxiety.
Anyone ever heard about it?
Thanks for a wonderful site

Hiya warren,

I have sufferred for many years like yourself and recently had a bit of lapse myself after coming off sleeping tablets and AD's and like you started researching. Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling too good as of late.

I am taking sjw (kira) have been now for over 2 months, its not had dramatic effects and I never expected that but I am having a few good days lately (yippie). My sleeping is still a massive problem but hey one step at a time. Not heard of mindsoothe so if you have good results let us all know.

Best of luck pixy :freak4:

Warren,

Like you and many others I've been suffering from depression, for as long as I remember, probably 30+ years. Unfortunately I have never sought medical help, and cuz of that have not had to deal with anti-depressants.

I apologize, but I don't have any experience with Mind Stoothe. I started Kira about 9 days ago. Way too soon to tell much, but I can tell you what my wife says...my moods have evened out, I'm less anxious and for the first time in a very long time I actually look forward to doing things.

Like pixybell nothing dramatic, but steady progress. So far no negative side effects. Hoping you feel better quickly!

Hi There - thanks for the replies - I had a good sleep last night - but woke up feeling very anxious again this morning; My Doctor has prescribed Alzaam, which I believe to be the same as Xanax - I have read that it is extremely addictive, so I try not to take it. I have been taking about 0.25mg on and off for the past month or so, but have taken 0.5mg this morning - I am hoping that the ingredient in mindsoothe for anxiety will be able to have a similar effect. I honestly do not like the thought of taking tablets, especially ones that are so addictive - well it is the Easter Weekend, so less stress, and maybe a good time to start laying off those Alzam - will keep you guys posted.
Thanks again
Warren

Hiya,

I hope that you keep trying warrenl as yes prescription meds are addictive and I have been on the end of that, and its not a nice experience. I know its hard and if you can try not to become dependent upon your prescription believe me you will feel better for it in the long run!. I know from experience its all too easy to pop that little pill, but do try, I hope you feel better soon.

Takecare best wishes pixy :freak4:
