I have always been mildy depressed and have problems with anxiety. I manage a health food store and thought "what the heck" I'll try it and see if it helps. I didn't notice a dramatic difference, but when I ran out I noticed I started feeling irritable and more anxious. I started it again and ran out last week. Well, I have been more depressed and anxious. I started on it again today. Obviously, it is helping me because when I go off of it I start feeling crummy. Also, I have been hearing the news about it decreasing the effectiveness of "the pill". I have been on the pill for a while and I haven't had any problems. I take the St. John's Wort 2-3 hrs after taking the pill just in case. I hope my good experience with this herb will help someone out there. I would rather use this than go on a prescription antidepressant. I have experienced no side effects.
