Second, thanks to all of you who are sharing your experiences. It's really nice to know I'm not the only one out here struggling! I've been on Serzone for over a year and a half for depression and anxiety and was having some unpleasant physical side effects, although the medication has allowed me to recover my Self and rebuild my life ... After my psychiatrist recommended that I cut the dose in half and I was still having too many side effects, I decided to try weaning myself off Serzone and onto St. Johns wort. It's been 3 weeks I've been on SJW and a week since the last crumb of Serzone, and the side effects are worse. I haven't slept much for the last week and have been having wild dreams, which is entertaining but doesn't help me get through the workday. I'm groggy in the daytime and my eyes hurt, I've had a horrible headache, blah blah blah. Anyway, just wanted you to know it doesn't work for everybody, and people need to be aware that even "natural" herbs have major side effects. Good luck, everybody. Keep trying!!

I've been back on the Serzone for a week or so now and feel ever so much better. My energy during the day is high, and I'm able to sleep well (and enough) at night. No more allergy-like symptoms, and I'm in a great mood. The vision problems I have with Serzone are much worse on SJW, so I have to go with the lesser of two evils! (I'm an editor so need my eyes.) I wish you all the best with your treatments. Thanks, Martha
