Ok. So first off, I wanted to say hi and this forum has been quite helpfull. And secondly, I went to GNC to buy RR and I bought there standardized brand. I've noticed that everyone else has the ingredient Salidroside in it (as well as a couple of others) and the kind i have bought only has RR root extract (3% rosavins=10.2mg) thats what it says under he supplement facts. That equals to 340mg per serving, and it says to take one daily. With that said, does it matter if it has Salidroside in it? Or is the rosavin the only active key ingredient?

Arctic Root by the Swedish Herbal Institute seems to be the brand that people recommend.
I'm not too sure which ingredients you should be looking for, but the compound SHR-5 found in Arctic Root has apparently had some research done on it, and the results found beneficial.

RR supplements used to be standardized to comtain a minimum amount of salidrosides... but this practice was abandoned because it was discovered that the proper active constituents are the rosavins, rosarin and rosin etc...
The best brands probably are as already mentioned:
Arctic Root by the Swedish herbal Institute and Rosavin (Plus) by Ameriden International. They are expensive, but with supplements the rule "you get what you pay for" is especially true!
