Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has tried this supplement or a similar one and if they have noticed any discernible difference in their mood?
I take one-a-day Seven Seas Pure Cod Liver Oil with 200mg of Omega 3 Fish Oil with vitamins A D and E with Evening Primrose Oil.

My depression stems from my social anxiety. I analyse and obsess over social situations, can't relax in other people's company except for a few specific people that I feel comfortable with, think too much about what I am saying in conversations and can never seem to think of the right thing etc and I'm convinced people think I'm a weirdo. I also often feel quite lethargic.

Had to go to a wedding at the weekend where I knew absolutely nobody. (It was my first time meeting my boyfriend's family.)Took along my Seven Seas supplement and admittedly took 2 a day, not 1, but I seemed to notice my panicky feelings lessened somewhat and though I was still terrified I was able to actually enjoy myself a little and make somewhat stilted but definitely improved attempts at conversation. I also find it makes me focus a little better and dispels some of the weird heavy lethargic feeling.

Have begun also Holland and Barrett Good 'N' Natural SJW, i switched to this after some SJW I got on Ebay was making my head heavy and bruised-feeling. Am onto my 2nd day with Holland and Barrett, so far all I have experienced is some abdominal cramps. (Possibly unrelated to the SJW.)

But I will definitely continue with the Seven Seas, I think it might be genuinely helping me. May even invest in a stronger fish oil.

Omega 3 fish oil has been said to help with depression. Okay, I'll accept that. We do know that modern diets are somewhat less in them than in the past, and daily supplementation may be good, even necessary.

I take at least one 1000 mg Omega 3 softgel, and I try to take three at the rate of one every 8 hours. Not only is that recommended for cardiovascular health, but I read somewhere that a medical doctor had treated his own depression with 3000 mg per day. Don't recall the source, though.

I don't know that it has made any difference in either my anxiety or my depression. I've been doing it for maybe six months now, with small lapses when I am too depressed or too medicated with other stuff for other conditions. I'm on my third huge bottle, and somewhat ambivalent about upgrading the quality of the product. Mine is Members Mark from Sam's, a discount buying club. I figure the product turnover is fairly rapid there, which should be an advantage in an oil of this nature. This is a hot climate, so mail order is not always a good idea.

Love to hear what anyone else experiences with Omega 3, good or bad.
