Ok, I have been taking 300mg of rhodiola rosea for over 6 months now and it has been a miracle worker for me. But all of a sudden within the past week I can't tolerate it. I feel overstimulated and get anxiety, increased blood pressure, heart rate, sweats, etc. I skipped a couple days and all those symptoms went away. I took rr again today at half the dose and all the symptoms came back within an hour of taking it. Has anyone ever heard of anyone suddenly becoming sensitive to it? Any chance it's a temporary reaction because maybe I'm fighting a bug (although I don't feel like I am) or something? Or maybe a couple of weeks off from it will get it working again the way it was before? Anyone else had to take breaks from it now and then? This supplement has literally changed my life for the better and it depresses me to think I might have to stop taking it. :frown:

I should mention that I've also been taking 5-HTP and SAM-e. Maybe it's all too much together?

I do not use RR. But I think if you look for posts from "blackbird" and "hopeful" you may find your answer.

Yeah it sounds like too much. For me, 5-HTP and SAMe both produce alot of stimulation and anxiety, even on their own (especially SAMe). I've never tried all these in combination but I'd probably flip out . I'd say if the RR has been working for you, just stick to that and drop the others. Let us know what you decide to do.
