I am now experiencing the benefits of 5-HTP for depression/anxiety, after using it for the last three weeks. I am using 100mg per day (50mg in morning and afternoon). However, I am a little nervous about the effects wearing off. I know one doctor said to stop taking it after 2 months and then take a month break. However, I usually start feeling depressed in October anyways. So, I don't want to experience a crash.
For those long term users (if you exist), what have you done when the effects wear off, if it actually does wear off for you?
