Best time of day to take 5HTP....

When should I take my 5HTP, or should I split the dose ? I do find it helps me to sleep but doesn't knock me out. I also like the fact it takes the edge of my appetite. I don't like to take it on an empty stomach. Just wondered how/when others take theirs and how much ? at present I'm taking one early afternoon, one directly before bed.

From the label on my 5HTP, it recommends taking it before bed (50-100mg) with a carbohydrate snack.

im taking 50mg in the morning, i took one in the morning and one at night and had terrible anxiety, Ive only been on it for a week. I am taking it for anxiety. Back on 50mg and slept til 3 which is normal for me.
