Ooo...yikies!
I took my 5htp 100mg the other night and within half an hour started to feel kinda strange  I usually pop straight off to sleep, but I had stuff on my mind, so didn't manage that night.
I was feeling kind of 'serotoniny' so I got up and took my BP and found that it was too high 148/91 - I'm 37 years old.....Ooo, not good, so I took a beta blocker (propranolol 10mg) and felt a lot better after a little while. I finally go to sleep after worrying about having a heart attack or stroke! :frown:
I've now cut down to 50mg at night and I took my BP last night a little while after ingestion and found it to be okay!
I posted a question on another forum to find out what could be wrong, but I haven't had an answer yet
This happened to me when I was taking the SJW, so I hope I'm not going the same way on the 5htp as I think it's working well! I used to have to take a valium after ingesting the SJW - the feelings were a bit like a panic attack, but with strange abdominal and head feelings too! Not good.
Ah, well...see how it goes!
