Does this sound like an adverse reaction ?

2 months after switching from Zoloft to 5-htp, I started getting adrenaline rushes and panic attacks as I fell asleep. I could not sleep at all. Also, my pupils were dilated, and I was having panic attacks during the day. My head feels like it's spinning sometimes when I'm about to sleep. I've had to be put on amitriptyline because of this. Does anyone know what's going on ?

This is a classic example of serotonin syndrome, and this has happened before when dosing too closely with SSRI's (Zoloft) and 5-HTP.

For anyone else who ever reads this - GIVE YOURSELF AT LEAST A MONTH coming off any anti-depressant to 5-HTP. Serotonin syndome can be fatal, and it is not fun.
