After doing some serious research on L-Tyrosine on the net I found info on some studies that say 3-9g per day is the reccomended dosage for effective relief of depression. however most L-Tyrosine product seem to only contain 500mg of the stuff which is relatively unhelpful!
However I have been taking Biotest Power Drive for the past 3 days (3g in one dose and take 1-2 doses per day) and I've found that it has helped greatly!!!
Highly reccomend this if 5-HTP doesn't have too much effect on you (it didn't for me). L-Tyrosine is a precursor to Dopamine which determines self-condidence motivation and drive (as well as sex drive) so if you are lacking in the above it might pay to give Biotest Power Drive a try. It also contains B6 which helps the L-Tyrosine cross the blood-brain barrier as well as DMAE Bitartrate and Phosphatidylcholine for increasing acetylcholine, and some versions have Ginkgo Biloba as well.
Highly reccomend this product - will post on whether the results last. Currently I am on a low dose of Rhodiola as well which I will phase out.
