RR really works for me.
Been on it less than a week now and really huge effects at alleviating my depression. I hope the effects don't die down over time - does anyone know what the long term benefits are and does effectiveness die down over time?
Went straight from SJW onto RR and was a little touchy for a couple days I guess from coming off the SJW, but the RR really seems to be working much better than the SJW did for my type of depression.
Confidence coming back and general zest for life returning.
Hopefully this will continue.

A lot of this died off in the last couple of days...
Today I feel alright but last couple days felt like the pits for most of the day - all the old symptoms returning.
I guess the RR just helped with Dopamine release and once my body sort of 'ran out' then i hit rock bottom.
Hopefully things will pick up

Gravity any anti-depressant will have a hard time combating heavy alcohol consumption. This is because alcohol is a known seratone depleter over time.
This is not a comment on your lifestyle.(None of my business).Just a medical fact.
For a quick seratone pick up I suggest 5htp.Nothing works faster in my experience. You will know when you are taking too much as your sexual sensation will tail off (temporarily).
5htp works very well with RR in my experience , but keep the dosages low.
I take one 5htp and one RR capsule in the evening and another 5htp before bed. It's been my most successful mix yet.
In truth i'm relying more and more on exercise and water as I find them to be the best mood enhancers of the lot.

Thank you kindly for your advice!
I think I will try 5htp and RR together... Just haven't really seen anywhere in auckland that sells 5htp will have a look around tomorrow.
will keep you posted
Can you please post the details of your RR and 5htp tablets (what brand how many mg of rosavins & 5htp per tablet).
I'm not sure how the RR I am taking compares it seems to have a relatively low concentratoin of Rosavins etc to what I've read on the net.

too be honest i'm not convinced the 5htp is offering much to the mix at all. It's spring here in the uk and I seem to be getting enough serotonin from the sun light , and if anything getting a bit drowsy with it.
I have cut down to half a capsule of 5htp and one capsule of rr in the evening and am feeling even better and the drowsiness is very minor.
I'm getting more and more impressed with rr , it seems to boost both dopamine and serotonin levels , so i'm confident , focused(dopamine) happy and energetic ( serotonin ).I wouldn't be surprised if in a week or two I just take the rr.
As for brands I don't sweat it personally. My opinion is that if rr is going to work then any brand will do.The clever bit is done by our bodies synthesizing these chemicals not us trying to be chemists.
I take Rhodiola root extract by SOLGAR ( standardised 250 mg ), sorry couldn't be bothered to check the break down of ingredients lol! and HOLLAND and BARRETT 5htp ( 50 mg )
Good luck

100mg 5-HTP in the morning, 500mg L-Tyrosine & B6, 2x RR caps & Magnesium Tablets
Just had a great day on this combo... felt especially up just before midday which was good slowly petered out over the day but thats what you'd expect from those precursors, but still a good day. Will continue on this track. Once I get my L-Tyrosine powder in I will up to 3g a day because that is reccomended dose for depression.
