down on 5-htp

whenever I take 5-htp my mood gets really down, I lack motivation and I just dont have much will to do anything. Does anybody else get like this, is this because 5-htp is not for me??

how much are you taking? do you take anything with it because to much seratonin can actually cause depressed feelings
